Spread the love

I bow to grace
I trust this rhythm,
the intelligence of this web
of beingness
and in it,
I ran to You through open fields.
I climbed the oak
from root tip to tree top
I felt your sun kissing my skin,
your clouds cover my
vulnerability
while I bury myself,
your rains make their way
to the depth of me
and I spring to life again.
I run towards the invisible.
I don’t know how to Love You, do I?

You keep me away,
then scream of loneliness.
I feel the pain in that,
don’t let me add to it.
My willingness
conforms the rebel in me
while the angels protect me
from compass’s arrow.

Like a child
I reach for the moon,
while I learn to soar
to spread these wings,
to ride the currents of this wind,
someone else builds a rocket.
I’ve got to get to You,
the voice of silence,
shines like a star
and the light of my Love will reach You
even when a day can feel like eons,
when a moment is both now
and light years away.

This journey, my canteen full of longing
empties itself, rolling towards your foot prints.
Is there any distinction
from here to there
from You to me?
Oh how illusions will spring
I ran to your well
believing in my purity
naming my outstretched hands
one bravery
and the other courage.
And I marvelled
at how one could
grow so tall in a day.

Aren’t we all drawn to Love?

Our meeting place is high, Love,
all edges disappear,
there is no end
in the space of this togetherness.
That old broom sweeps away
these collections of bones.
I return to myself,
cross~legged and chanting,
flying to where
timing is perfect,
where your music
is my hammock
and your spirit
is the wind that sways me,
whipping me
then caressing me
sculpting
my dancing body,
the fire in my heart has been lit,
now let me burn
while the melting candle of our Love
is the still meditation
of my soul.
