Sestina: Castoff
I scoffed at Portugal; I spat; sucked wine.
A mountebank, naughty-back*, of the sea,
Was I: Thus, “patriots” chipped off my face;
Chopped my visage; played Carnage; carved red ink;
Lopped my nose, tongue, ears, and right hand; …
